Nth Dimensions, in partnership with the American Academy of Dermatology and the University of New Mexico, will host a Clinical Correlations and Bioskills workshop on October 18, 2023 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in Gallup, NM.
The workshop is designed to expose women and underrepresented minorities to specialty fields of medicine, emphasizing dermatology and innovation with the ultimate goal of workforce diversification.
In partnership with the American Academy of Dermatology, Pathways Program invites high school, undergraduate, and medical school students from the Gallup regional area, including those from existing University of New Mexico partnership programs.
Our Nth Dimensions Dermatology and leadership team will deliver a core lecture that will include a practical guide to navigating roadblocks on the path to a student’s success. Many of these bright students have never seen, been to, or met a surgeon of color—someone who looks like them or may have come from the same neighborhood or circumstance. Just by showing up, we can have an immediate impact by being the one they see, so they know what they can be.
Nth Dimensions will provide key elements associated with enhancing student exposure and engagement:
· Active participation
· Face-to-face contact between participants and potential mentor
· Purposeful activities
· Surgical Instrumentation and supplies
